Document Control Basic Job Specification

Our client is a family business, established over 50 years ago. The company’s ethos then, as it is today, is one of quality of service and client satisfaction. They’re a multi-disciplined contractor that service the construction and related industries through its Enabling Services comprising of demolition, asbestos removal, remediation, earthworks, infrastructure, basement reconstructions, waste recycling and haulage.

There is a minimum requirement and level of expectation for paperwork and documentation that needs to be produced upon and across all of their sites. Part of the Document Controllers role will be to help produce and keep an up to date record of these documents, within our on-site filing structure and bespoke System.


The minimum expectation of works a Document Controller will be required to carry out on all sites are as follows:

• Training Matrix 

• Drawing Register 

• RFI Register

• Handover Register

• As Built Register

• Waste/Material Transfer Register

• NCR Register

• Tool Box Talk Register

• Temporary Works Register

• COSHH Register

• Document Submittal Register

• Method Statement Register

• Risk Assessment Register
